The Campus

THE CAMPUS

The campus is on 5 acres of lush green land located besides the perennially flowing legendary Periyar River. The School is envisaged as an institution comparable to the best in the country. The serene environment provides for a truly enriching atmosphere for students and a rewarding one for the faculty. The onus of the campus is one that inspires creativity to anybody aspiring towards higher learning. All facilities necessary to achieve superior education have been provided.

IT CENTER - MBA

SSTM is equipped with a modern computer lab having the latest Pentium4 computers and multimedia systems. There are nearly 300 PCs interconnected by LAN. A dedicated broadband Internet connection is also available to the students providing a window to the world. The Computer Lab is also equipped with latest licensed versions of softwares such as MS Office, Windows NT, SPSS, Adobe Page Maker, Oracle, Visual Studio and Publisher 3 etc. The center is equipped with Desk Top Publishing facilities. The institution utilises the latest software and has a dedicated system to handle the functional management of the organisation.

IT CENTER - MCA

SSTM is equipped with a modern computer lab having the latest Pentium4 computers and multimedia systems. There are nearly 100 PCs interconnected by LAN. A Leased Line Internet connection is made available to the students providing a window to the world. The Computer Lab is also equipped with latest hardware and software with proper server room with powerful IBM servers running Windows, AIX and Linux operating Systems with having full firewall, anti virus and content keeper installations.

LIBRARY-MBA

The SSTM library is stocked with the best possible information resources required to a manager. SSTM subscribes to many leading journals in the fields of Management, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Management Development, Economics, Business Strategies, Operations Management and Information Technology. Students will also have access to the SCMS library, which also has a vast collection of multimedia CD ROMs and video films on various subjects. The SCMS library in the adjecent building at the SSTM campus also will be accessible to SSTM Students .

The SSTM-MBA library is well stocked with textbooks and reference books. It houses over 3,000 books and over 50+ Journals including foreign journals like Harvard Business Review, Fortune, Business Week and several other top class professional journals. Practicing managers and academicians consider the stock of latest volumes in management as a basic source of information.

LIBRARY-MCA

The SSTM MCA Library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of CD-ROM, e-journals , books , Journals, magazines, encyclopedia, complete reference books etc. along with the text and reference books. Library subscribes to many of national and International Journals like Dr. Dobb’s Journal, Linux Journals, Systems Management, International Journal of Computer Science and Software Technology etc.

TEACHING EQUIPMENT

Lecture sessions are conducted with the help of modern teaching aids. The School is equipped with sufficient number of overhead projectors, slide and LCD projectors, educational audio and video cassettes, television sets, VCRs and other gadgets that are essential for a modern academic institution.

HOSTEL

SSTM also extends well-furnished hostel facilities to its students. Students should apply for the facility in advance. The Hostels have dedicated mess that offers quality food. The campus also has a captive cafeteria catering to the needs of the students.
