The training provided
at SSTM for MCA programme is such that a
student will not have any difficulty in
getting recruited from the campus provided
he/she maintains high academic standards
and regularly attends the Personality
Development Programmes. However, our
experience shows that the major challenge
for an IT professional today is not
getting a job, but retaining the same and
progress further in the career ladder.
Most of the Software professionals today
feel that due to lack of management inputs
and an understanding of the business
domain they are unable to occupy higher
positions . This has resulted in many of
them pursuing management diploma
programmes on a part time basis to equip
themselves with the necessary management
inputs .
At SSTM , we believe in
transforming our students into
professionals par excellence who are
equipped with the necessary technical and
management skills to face challenges that
the industry might throw at them. As such
students of MCA at SSTM are offered a Govt
of Kerala recognized Diploma in Business
Management . The programme is designed and
offered in such a way that the students
donot feel the additional workload . At
the end of the programme they will be
equipped with the right skill sets to face
the corporate world. The DBM programme
will have eight courses and a short
duration Organization Study / Business
Vertical Analysis project. The courses
offered will be covering areas like

Examinations evaluation for each course.

To be eligible for the final award of
diploma, students will have to secure a
pass rating in each course with a minimum
of 60% marks .
The Diploma will be awarded
by SCMS (School of Communication and
Management Studies) , Cochin.
