MBA EQUIVALENT P.G.DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT (PGDM)
(TWO YEAR FULL TIME & THREE YEAR PART TIME)
The PGDM programme of SCMS is approved by AICTE and accredited by ‘National Board of Accreditation’. SCMS is the 8th B-school to get this rare distinction in India. Accreditation is the final word of quality in management education in India and is very difficult to come by.
MBA EQUIVALENCE
The Association of Indian Universities – Govt. of India, has recognized PGDM of SCMS as equivalent to MBA of Indian Universities. This enables SCMS students to register for Ph.D or apply for jobs for which MBA is a qualification. SCMS is the 7th business school to get this recognition.
ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION
SCMS is the first business school in India to get ISO 9001 certification for Quality Teaching System in Management.
OTHER MILESTONES AND ACCOLADES
Recognition from the Government of Kerala in 1987 for all its Mass Communication Programmes. SCMS is the first institution in India to get Govt. recognition for mass communication programme.
AICTE grant for excellence in 1998. SCMS is the only business school in India to get this grant for excellence.
SCMS became the largest B-school in the south with an intake capacity of 240 in an academic year.
Established tie-up with University of Canberra in 2000 for upgradation of syllabus and teaching system with faculty and student exchange.
All national business magazines in India have rated SCMS as one among the best 20 business schools in India, the best in Kerala, 6th best in South India and 15th best ‘post 1990’ B-school.
