Batch 12 EEE-2 students (2013-2017) have visited Idamalayar Power Generating Station on 15-10-2016. It is a hydroelectric power station which has a generating capacity of 75 MW with the help of two generators 37.5 MW each. The visit gave an awareness of the various functions in the power station.
ITI Limited, Palakkad
Batch 12 EEE-1 students (2013-2017) have visited ITI Limited, Palakkad on 15/10/2016. It is equipped with a Smart Card Assembly Facility integrated with Manufacturing Machines and Level 4 Security for assembly, personalization and testing of SIM cards. An annual capacity of 18 Million cards exists, which is primarily catering to the requirements of BSNL and MTNL. The visit was successful and beneficial in terms of practical knowledge.
ITI Limited, Palakkad
Batch 12 EEE-1 & EEE-2 students (2013-2017) has visited Poringalkuthu Power Station on 10th October 2015 and 26th September 2015 respectively. The Poringalkuthu Power house has four 8 MW generator and one 16 MW generator together giving an output of 48 MW. The visit helped to get a clear idea of the hydroelectric power plant, control systems, water processing mechanism etc.
