A well-equipped computer lab with advanced facilities is established for the benefit of the civil engineering students. This lab deals with the study of various distinctive features and tools used in AutoCAD and the uses of this software in Civil engineering is covered extensively. The students also learn Structural Analysis software (STAAD) for analyzing structures like trusses, beams, buildings etc and a project management software (Microsoft Office Project). Lab is used by third, sixth and seventh semester students and for the project purposes. The lab is full-fledged with computer systems with STAAD, Auto Cad, M S Project, Ansys, NISA 19, BIOWIN 5.3, QGIS etc.

The purpose of this lab is to make the students aware of the dangerous effects of environmental pollution. This laboratory-based course involves weekly experiments that demonstrate important environmental engineering concepts. It introduces the application of basic chemistry and chemical calculations to measure physical, chemical, and bacteriological parameters of water and wastewater. Laboratory methods and interpretation of results with regard to environmental engineering applications such as design and operation of water and wastewater treatment processes, and to the control of the quality of natural waters are also explored.

Geotechnical Engineering is an important branch of civil engineering that contributes to the understanding of ground behaviour. Laboratory testing forms an integral part of the studies required to provide engineering parameters in the design of building and bridge foundations, tunnels, dams, roads and airfield pavements, embankments and slopes. Our Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory is well equipped and provides students with all facilities required to deepen their understanding of the principles governing soil engineering properties and behaviour. A wide variety of laboratory tests can be performed on soils to measure a wide variety of soil properties The Laboratory contains equipments to carry out soil classification tests, consolidation test, compaction tests, permeability tests, direct shear tests, triaxial tests, unconfined compression tests, Consistency limit tests, vane shear tests and tests to determine field density, specific gravity water content etc. on soil samples.

Transportation is the most important facility in moving men and material. It contributes to the economic, industrial, cultural and social development of a region or nation. A civil engineer is expected to know the tests to be done on soils and road materials to determine their suitability for road works. The various materials used for pavement construction include soil, aggregate, bitumen etc. Properties like strength, durability, and adoptability are tested so as to keep the pavement stable under load due to moving traffic. Transportation engineering laboratory provide facilities to test these materials to find their suitability for road construction.
