Innovative Software Cell

Innovative software cell (ISC) pertains to provide the students a platform for showcasing their innovative ideas. ISC provides an opportunity for students to work in an organized team structure and time lines utilizing the existing infrastructure and to satisfy the current software automation needs of the institute too .This platform is used for showcasing talents of CSE department and appreciate them to explore the world of programming.

Achievements for the year 2020

Research Cell, SCMS School of Engineering and Technology in association with IEDC organized a three day workshop ’The Art of Technical Writing and Publishing in the Pursuit of Academic Excellence” on January 13, 14 & 15, 2020 from 9 am to 4 pm at SCMS, Karukutty Campus.

A hands-on session on “MangoDB’ was given to the third year Computer Science students on 25/01/2020 by our alumni Mr.Nihil Pradeep, (Batch 13 )Founder & CEO,RONAK Technologies.

A training session on Machine Learning was given for second year and third year students on 09/05/2019 by S8 CSE students Mr.Arjun, Mr.Abin Mahipalan,Mr.Amal Govind P.S,Mr.Ijas A.H under the guidance of Dr.Vinod P,HOD and Mrs.Rosebell Paul,Assistant Professor CSE.

Hands on "Android Programming” were organized on 21st and 26th February 2018 by S8CSE students Mr.Jebbin Joseph,Mr.Ajay Reghu Warrier,Mr.Jom for VIth semester ECE students.The program was guided by Mrs.Gayathry.S.Warrier and Mrs.Sreeja Rajesh, Assistant Professor CSE.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering, organized a one day workshop on “Introduction to Node JS” for S2 Computer Science & Engineering (42 students) on 2nd February 2019 at Karukutty campus under the guidence of Mrs. Deepasree Varma .P, Mrs. Binu John, Mrs. Nimmi .K, Mrs. Sreeja Rajesh, Assistant Professors, CSE Dept, SSET.The workshop was designed in such a way that participants got familiarized with basic concepts of NODEJS, JavaScript, Node CLI , Express JS & also got hands-on experience with these technologies in IDE like Eclipse.Resourse Persons are Mr. George M Thottan, & Mr. Jebbin Joseph, S8 CS1, SSET.

Achievements for the year 2017

The Innovative Software Cell,Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SSET in association with Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) of SCMS School of Engineering and Technology has organised a two day Workshop on “ Introduction to Yii 2.0 (PHP-Framework)’’ for students of SSET on November 9 & 10, 2017, at Karukutty campus. The workshop has designed such that the participants (45 students from all streams of Engineering) got familiarised with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, got hands-on experience in developing a website & got exposure to Yii framework.

Valedictory function and Certificate distribution

Welcome speech was delivered by Ms.Sreeja Rajesh, Asst Professor, CSE,SSET and Program Coordinator of the workshop.Dr.Praveensal C J (Vice Principal – SSET) shared his views on ‘web development workshops’ and distributed certificates to the participants. Ms.SonalAyappan, HOD, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SSET, shared her thoughts regarding the workshop and distributed the certificates to volunteers.Dr. Manoj Kumar B, Nodal Officer, IEDC, addressed students about the relevant job opportunities for the web designers and congratulated the students for their interest in the workshop, He honoured the resource persons Mr.Vaishakh V N ,Project Developer of Pinetech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Koratty and Ms.TharaMohanan, Project Leader, NestsoftPvt. Mr. Sajith Paul Thomas and Mr Dipin of S7 CSE have been part of Matsue City Internship Programme at Japan from 16th to 27th January 2017 were the resource persons for the “RUBY Training program” , 30 students from CSE department got trained. Special thanks to Ms.DeepasreeVarma and Ms.Susmi Jacoband all the volunteers.
